Silicon Nitride Ceramics

Silicon Nitride Ceramics (Si3N4 ceramics) maintain high mechanical strength at high temperatures. Silicon Nitride ceramic has higher chemical corrosion resistance compared to other industrial ceramics. Silicon Nitride ceramic

Material has the following key characteristics:

  • Corrosion Resistance
  • Chemical Resistance
  • High Strength at wide range of temperatures
  • High fracture toughness & High Hardness
  • High Thermal Conductivity & Shock Resistance
  • Wear Resistance

Silicon nitride ceramics are a man-made compound. Parts are pressed and sintered. The material is dark gray to black in color and can be polished to a very smooth reflective surface. High performance Silicon Nitride materials were developed for many applications requiring wear part use. The performance to cost benefit ratio for silicon nitride is excellent in the applications where it outperforms normally utilized ceramics materials, with long life and very reliable low maintenance.
