Industrial Ceramics

Ceramic Manufacturer & Supplier

C-Mac represents several industrial ceramics suppliers, with many years experience in technical ceramic component manufacturing. Some of the industrial ceramics materials we specialize in are Alumina, Steatite, Cordierite, Zirconia, and MgO.

Alumina – Aluminum Oxide

Alumina is a very hard, dense material of exceptional strength. Alumina exhibits resistance to both high temperature and corrosion. Electrical properties of alumina include high volume resistivity as well as low loss characteristics at high frequencies. We produce many grades of Alumina products by injection molding, dry pressing and extrusion processes. By using these processes and different chemistries, the Alumina properties are enhanced to meet most engineering requirements. Some industrial ceramic applications for these materials include pump seals, temperature sensors, knife sharpeners and refractory anchors. technical data sheet

Steatite – Crystalline Magnesium Silicate

Steatite ceramics exhibit excellent electrical properties. By manufacturing different grades of Steatite, we can meet a variety of electrical and mechanical requirements. For general applications, specify L-3. For applications where low electrical loss is critical, specify L-5. The capability to manufacture a wide range of extruded sizes accommodating both resistor and igniter manufacturers. Superior manufacturing capabilities allow us to produce complex products to accommodate the heater and appliance industry. Some industrial ceramic component part examples include ceramic heaters, ceramic resistors and ceramic igniters. Other applications for this steatite ceramics material include thermostats, lamp bases, appliances, welding equipment and relays. technical data sheet

Cordierite – Magnesium Aluminum Silicate

Cordierite ceramics have low coefficients of thermal expansion, providing excellent thermal shock resistance. We manufacture several cordierite grades with different levels of porosity, for a variety of industrial ceramic applications including ceramic thermocouples, load banks and kiln furniture. technical data sheet

Zirconia – Zirconium Oxide

Zirconia is a very hard and durable material, with low thermal conductivity, high strength and flexibility. Because of certain additives, the material has a high resistance to corrosion and a melting point higher than Alumina. Zirconia is used in oxygen sensors as well as other technical and industrial ceramic applications. technical data sheet

Silicon Nitride – Si3N4

Silicon Nitride Si3N4 ceramics maintain high mechanical strength at high temperatures and has higher chemical corrosion resistance and thermal shock when compared to other industrial ceramic materials.
Applications include hydraulic fracturing or fracking, pipeline, couplings, aerospace, automotive engine components, machine wear surfaces, burner nozzles and molten metal processing components.

Crushable Ceramic Products

C-Mac provides many different crushable ceramics, including Magnesium Oxide, Alumina and Hafnia. These highly engineered materials are formed by extrusion, dry pressing and slip casting. These industrial ceramic products are used worldwide in cartridge heaters, thermocouples, mineral insulated cable and crucibles.

Magnesia Partially Stabilized Zirconia

Magnesia Partially Stabilized Zirconia are ideal material choices for industrial ceramic parts such as valve and pump components, bushings and wear sleeves, oil and gas down-hole tools and industrial tooling applications. technical data sheet
